Attainable Goals
April 15th, 2006 by Marsha JamesiVillage says that to try and lose those pounds you should set some simple goals. Such as putting water bottles in places you will be so that you can reach that goal of eight glasses a day. Also don’t keep putting off going to the gym, just go. Find something to distract instead of cooking or baking and trying going for a walk a few times a week.
Start with a Goal
My fitness goal is to set a goal. I always scare myself by setting an unattainable goal and then giving up. I like your idea of setting it for just one week at a time. –iVillagerJust Do It
This week my fitness goal is to “just do it.” No more excuses and no more putting it off. I will get to the gym and get out all stresses that that day brings. After that I can tackle the at-home chores and feel great about my day. –MichelleGet a New Attitude
My goal is to be bold and adjust my attitude. I am going to make myself walk around the block three times this week, and hopefully build upon the number of times I walk around the block. So far I haven’t done any exercise on a semi-consistent basis — that was yesterday; today and tomorrow offer new opportunities to build a healthier me. –KatTiming in the Essence
This week, my goal is not to eat anything after 8pm for three nights. –HeleneOne Step at a Time
I want to be able to walk up the stairs without feeling as if I’m having a heart attack. I have made myself a promise that today will be my day of drinking lots of water (no more sodas), eating fruits and veggies and some sort of exercise at least four times a week. –iVillagerDrink to Your Goal
My goal is to drink at least eight glasses of water a day. I will have water in the car, at work, in the morning, in the evening. Water, water, everywhere. –BeckyGet in Control
I will walk three times this week. Call a friend when I want to eat. Paint my fingernails when they look shabby instead of making cookies. –iVillager
