Dessert Ideas For Cutting Calories
April 8th, 2008 by Abby CooperI know if it wasn’t for my extreme sweet tooth I would have an easier time cutting the calories from my diet. I’ve found some calorie cutters while you are trying to stick to that tough diet plan that I thought I would share.
Some of these ideas are just using a little of your common sense. I’m a huge chocolate ice cream lover. Instead of indulging, and losing a days worth of calorie intake, try the sugar-free ice cream. It does taste a little different, but it will take the edge off of that sweet tooth craving. The frozen yogurt is delicious too! If that is not enough calories to cut for you, try the frozen sherbert. It has a lot less calories than sugar free ice cream.
I recently found the 60 calorie chocolate pudding cups. These are absolutely delicious and at only 60 calories they will take care of that chocolate craving instantly without the guilt. I also noticed that the same company offers the 100 calorie chocolate pudding cups. I have not tried those myself, because I figured why waste that extra 40 calories.
Another great snack idea that I myself love, are the 100 calorie snacks in the small packaging in the cookie aisle at the grocery store. I think the amount of variety with these are endless. They have everything from cookies, crackers, and beef jerky! It’s great to take these with you whenever you have a hunger strike start. Just reach for one of these in your car and you won’t be tempted to run through a fast food driveway.
There are really endless possibilities even at the gas stations if you don’t have the time to run into the grocery store. Most of the time the food industry already lines products up against each other to compare. Just ask yourself next time your at the store, should I eat this and ruin my calorie intake for the day, or eat something close to it and feel good about myself.
