The Benefits of Pilates
April 11th, 2008 by Brooke HartPilates is one of the best ways to burn fat from all of the hard to reach places. Not only is it effective, but you don’t have to do it for a long time every day. A good 15-30 minute work out for starters will get you on the right track and will burn off ***loads of calories.
The reason why Pilates is so effective is because it targets the places that are storing fat. This means that every exercise that you do with this type of work out is going to center on the ‘core.’ That’s your mid-range area and is typically the area that takes in the extra weight. By doing this, it automatically starts building strength for both your back and stomach, which helps to create a better shape from the inside out.
Another great part of Pilates is that it uses motions that don’t make you do the extra work. Lifting weights and doing some other ‘fad’ exercises may cause you to have to work harder because it isolates the muscles. Pilates condenses the muscles together and allows you to work several of them at once. This is a combination of the way in which you stand or sit with the movements, as well as the different movements that you use.
Not only does it just allow you to burn and build, but it works with your body as a supplemental way to gain much more than a loss in weight. Balance, flexibility and coordination will all start to build into your muscle system while you are loosing weight. These particular values in exercise are invaluable, as they help your entire system of your body to work much more effectively. This is also one of the most vital things that you need in order to exercise properly and to begin building a new look.
No matter what type of shape you are in now, commit yourself to doing Pilates once or twice a week, and you’ll start looking and feeling better. This particular set of exercises isn’t just one that is going to pass by. It is extremely effective and move you towards feeling and looking at your best.
