Another Spin on the Grapefruit Diet
July 31st, 2008 by crystalThis diet plan goes way back. It’s also been circulated as the NEW Mayo Clinic Diet. Just like the old Mayo Clinic Diet was a fake, this one is also based on myth. I don’t recommend it.
What you’ll eat: Breakfast:
- Either 1/2 grapefruit OR 8 oz. juice (unsweetened)
- 2 eggs any style
- 2 slices of bacon
Lunch:
- Either 1/2 grapefruit OR 8 oz. juice (unsweetened)
- Salad with any dressing
- Meat any style and any amount.
Dinner:
- Either 1/2 grapefruit OR 8 oz. juice (unsweetened)
- Salad with any dressing OR a red or green vegetable cooked in butter or spices.
- Meat or even Fish any style cooked any way.
- Coffee or Tea (1 cup)
Bedtime Snack:
- 8oz. glass of tomato juice or 8 oz cup of skim milk.
Now I’m being seriously here….do you see any difference between this diet and the old Mayo Clinic diet? The only difference I see is the name has changed to the Grapefruit diet. Please do yourself a favor and run in the other direction when you see this fake diet!!
