Polymeal Diet

July 31st, 2008 by crystal

The Polymeal diet isn’t much of a weight loss plan as it is a very healthy eating program. Researchers found that there are healthy benefits in a pill called Polypill which has been found to reduce heart disease by 80%. But the researchers were looking for a more natural way of incorporating the benefits of the Polypill into people’s diets by adding the foods that can provide the same benefits. This diet works the best for men but it is great for both men and women. The program wants you to eat 14 ounces of fruits and vegetables per day, along with drinking moderate amounts of red wine, dark chocolate, almonds, fish, and garlic. Men on this plan were shown to live an average of 6.6 years longer versus men who did not follow the plan. The researchers also found that this diet is effective for warding off heart disease 9 years longer versus those who did not follow the plan. The best part about this program is that you can add it to any healthy way of eating and still reap all the benefits. So grab a piece of dark chocolate and hold up your wine glasses…Cheers!
